Radio Sunderland For Hospitals

Radio Sunderland for Hospitals is a registered charity that broadcasts specialist and personalised programmes to the patients of the Sunderland Royal Hospital 24 hours per day.
One of our most popular programmes is the patient request show “Ward Call”.
Football is also very popular we broadcast the whole of every Sunderland A.F.C. home game – something we've been doing since the 1953-54 football season!
There are a variety of tasks involved in running Radio Sunderland and we are always looking for new volunteers to help keep us "on-air".
